हॉवर्ड स्कूल्ज़: एक व्यक्ति जिसने कभी नहीं मानी हार
यदि आपके सामने, कोई भी इंसान, ‘कॉफ़ी’ का ज़िक्र करे तो सबसे पहला ख्याल आता हे – ‘स्टारबक्स’ का। स्टारबक्स एक ऐसा विश्वप्रसिद्ध नाम बन चुका हे जिसका जुबान पे आते ही एक कॉफी पीने का मन हो जाता है, फिर चाहे वो कोल्ड कॉफ़ी हो या फिर कैपुचिनो। यह नाम अब केवल एक कॉफ़ी ब्रांड नहीं रहा, परंतु एक ऐसा स्थान बन चुका है जहा प्रत्येक वर्ग के लोग एक मानविक जुड़ाव के महसूस करने आते हैं। पर क्या आप जानते है की इतने बड़े साम्राज्य के मालिक ने अपने शुरआत, अखबार बेचने एवं कैफे में काम करने से की थी। हार्वर्ड स्कूल्ज की कहानी अपने आप में एक प्रेरणा से भरी सफलता की दास्तान है।
जब परिवार में पहली बार कॉलेज गए
हावर्ड केमाता-पिता कभी विश्वविद्यालय नही जा पाए, जिसके चलतेउन्हें अन्य लोगो से अधि कमहनतऔरकामकरनेकेबावजूदकामवेतनसेहीसंतुष्टहोनापड़ताथा।उससमयदेशकेभीआर्थिकहालातइतनेअच्छेनहीथे, नौकरी भीकमथी।एकदिनहार्वर्डकेपिताकापैरफ्रैक्चरहुआऔरउनकीट्रकचलानेकीनौकरीछूटगई।इसकेबादउन्होंनेअपनेजीवनमेंकाफीमुश्किलआर्थिकसंकटझेला, इस समय ने उन्हें कठिनाइयों कासामनाकरना सिखाया अथवाइन से उभर ने का जज्बा भी दिया।हार्वर्ड ने संकल्प लिया, कभी भी
कुछ करने की इच्छाशक्ति
विश्विद्यालय से पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद उन्हें एक फर्म का वाइस – प्रेसिडेंट बना दिया गया। किसी भी अन्य इंसान के लिए २२ साल की उम्र में वीपी बन जाना काफी संतोष की बात होती परंतु हार्वर्ड के लिए नही। एक दिन उन्होंने ने “कॉफी स्टोर” में जाकर वहां का वातावरण को महसूस किया। ऐसा लगा की यह चीज वो शुरुआत से ही करना चाहते थे, एक ऐसी जगह जहा विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से आए हुए लोग, कॉफी टेबल पर एक होजाए – “एक मानविक जुड़ाव”।
हार्वर्ड ने वहां के मालिकों से इस व्यवसाय से जुड़ने की मांग की और अंत में उन्हें हार्वर्ड की बात माननी ही पड़ी, उन्हें डायरेक्टर ऑफ मार्केटिंग बनाकर।
स्टारबक्स–एक सपना
हार्वर्ड ने व्यवसाय में खूब तारिक्की की और अपना एक कॉफी चेन बना लिया। जब उन्हें खबर हुई की उनका पुराना कॉफी स्टोर बेचा जा रहा है, तो बिना कोई समय गवाए वो स्टोर उन्होंने खरीद लिया। इसके चलते हार्वर्ड ने स्टारबक्स को अपना पूर्ण सपना बनालिया और उसने नई ऊंचाई तक ले गए।
हार्वर्ड ने हमेशा नुकसान फायदे से हटके अपने व्यवसाय का मुख्य उद्देश्य ‘कर्मचारी’ और उसकी खुशी को रखा। उन्होंने एक ऐसी कंपनी की स्थापना की, जिसको उनके माता पिता हमेशा याद रखते।
